About me
Kate Saunders
OCR Dip.SMT, MSMA (L4) MHFST, MICHT
Having been involved with sport all my life and played at county level, I decided it was time to put something back into sport. I trained at Cardiff University in Sports Massage at the time one of only a few courses in the country accredited to the Sports Massage Association www.sportsmassageassociation.org.
I am recognised by the Commonwealth Games Council, British Olympic Medical Centre, The Scottish, Welsh and English Institute of Sport and the Rugby Football Union, to mention just a few. To work in conjunction with their Coaches, Physiotherapists and Medical Teams.
I have worked at the Commonwealth Games, National and International events in different disciplines. I have worked with the GB Adaptive Rowers in their preparation for the Paralympics (2008) along with other Olympic athletes, at present I am working with some 2012 hopefuls.
However my clients are not only sporting professionals, non-sporting people are finding that with the increase stresses of life that these massages are also helping them. Perhaps an injury that has been caused by other way than through sports or whether it is just the stresses and strains of life.
My practice is in Ashampstead the heart of the Berkshire countryside, located in between Reading and Newbury 10 minutes from the M4 and A34 with ample of parking.
For your initial appointment, you will need to allow yourself at least hour and half, however occasionally before I can treat a patient, I will need the confirmation of you GP.
Belonging to the SMA and the FHT you can be assured that I am always continuing development and keeping up to date with current legislations.
